These hormones…whoosh. Been feeling this since I was 47 and now at 51 I’m still navigating. HRT, Magnesium is something that’s helped, but still playing with various things to see what can get me to sleep better. It shouldn’t be this hard to sleep. To rest.

Tamsen’s book was immensely helpful to me too. I’m happy I was able to participate and hear the other women in the room share.

Talking about it with like-minded people really, really helps.

And fuck yes to fuck nos.

I love what you said about “opening up nos” - I feel like I’m always pushing myself to say yes when I want to say no and this is so inspiring to say no :)

Let’s start a 3 am club!! We can stitch n’ bitch together in those wee liminal hours. Thanks for the picture of lights all over the city 🌃 Some nights I embrace those quiet hours to myself, they have a similar feel to those hours spent nursing a wee babe. Now I can invest that time into me and it’s been revealing. Tired of being the nice, quiet girl, that always says yes (even when I mean no!). Time to embrace my crone era and the magic it brings to us and those around us. Thank you for sharing these voice notes. It really is like listening to a friend and helps me feel less alone. 💞
